E arlier this year I shared that From the Studio stories were coming to Zen Flowers. That quiet idea is now live.
Introduced in version 1.5, This Week invites people to look closely at one ikebana arrangement and read its story. Each week, a photograph meets a short reflection from the studio: the same warmth and personality many of you already know from the newsletter, now inside the app.
When Less Is Everything
One of the first stories in This Week is When Less Is Everything.
A copper vessel and one pink gerbera become a story about knowing when to stop. The arrangement is quiet. The writing sits beside it, not on top of it. That balance is exactly what I hoped This Week would feel like.
What you will find in This Week
This Week pairs original photographs with short studio stories. An archive lets you revisit earlier inspirations whenever you like.
New stories will arrive weekly throughout November and December, with new gallery arrangements added monthly. The flowers still have room to speak for themselves. You simply have the option to learn what they were saying in the studio.
Still a quiet place to visit
Zen Flowers remains a quiet library of 500+ real ikebana arrangements, created and photographed by hand. Stories and more than 70 arrangements are free. One purchase unlocks eight additional collections. No ads, no subscriptions, and no account required.
Read This Week on iPhone or iPad, and enjoy the floral gallery full screen on Apple TV with optional ambient music.
If you have been waiting for the stories to arrive in the app, they are here. Open Zen Flowers, find This Week, and spend a few calm moments with the arrangement of the week.
