I have to share something that has been quietly cooking in the background for months — our Zen Flowers app finally has a real home of its own.
You can visit it here: zenflowers.app
For those of you who are new here, Zen Flowers is the app my husband Ion and I built together. I arrange and photograph every piece by hand, and he builds the software that brings them to your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. There are over 400 arrangements now, with new ones added each month. It started as a small idea in our living room and somehow grew into a quiet little library that strangers around the world now enjoy on their screens. Honestly, that still surprises me a little.
So why a website when the app already lives on the App Store?
The App Store is wonderful, but it is also a busy place. Everything happens fast there. You scroll, you decide in three seconds, you move on. Lovely for downloads, less lovely for storytelling.
I wanted somewhere a little slower. A place where I could share more about how the collections come together, why we chose not to add a subscription, what each collection means, and how the app fits into the rest of my Ikebana practice. Somewhere that feels a bit more like the work itself — unhurried, curious, with room to breathe.
So we built one.
A small tour, in case you would like one
Over at zenflowers.app you can:
- Browse all ten collections and read what inspired each one
- Read the story of how Ion and I started this in our living room (with a real photograph of us, even)
- Find answers to the questions people ask the most — pricing, devices, Family Sharing, all of it
- Take a peaceful look around without anyone trying to sell you anything
It is not a sales pitch. It really is more like a small window into the work. You can wander, look, leave whenever you want, and there is no popup chasing you around.
What stays the same
Everything about the app itself is exactly the same.
Artist Favorites and Minimalist Zen are still completely free with the download. The one-time $4.99 still unlocks every other collection — including every new collection I add in the future. Still no subscriptions. Still no ads. Still no data collection. Still works on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
We are committed to keeping it that way. The website does not change any of that. It just gives the app a quieter doorway for people who want to learn a little more before deciding.
A small ask
If you find the new site useful, I would love it if you shared it with someone who might enjoy a slower, more beautiful pause in their day. Word of mouth means more to us than any advertisement could.
And if you have not visited the app in a while, the library has grown quite a bit since we relaunched. There is a good chance there are arrangements waiting that you have not seen yet. 🌸
Thank you for being part of this slow, growing thing with us.
